Bad News
I got some bad news earlier. One of my uncles (Tori’s dad) had a massive heart attack this morning and is in I.C.U. The doctors aren’t certain whether he is going to pull through or not. He lives in San Antonio so we’ll be driving down there tomorrow. I love road trips, but I doubt if I’m going to enjoy this 1200 mile (round trip) journey. I may not have the chance to post for a few days.
My Interests and Preferred Pastimes
Current Mood: Under the influence of (I could tell ya, but then I’d have to kill ya.)
People have told me that I’m an eclectic person. I agree. I believe my having bipolar disorder is a large part of who I am; what I’m like; and what I enjoy doing in my spare time.
I’m interested in: advocating for other mentally ill people; photography; writing; music; blogging; web design; computers; internet; reading; genealogy, astrology, tarot, numerology, the ‘occult’; politics; activism; volunteering; weaving; beading; painting; herbalism, Wicca, and learning about other religions of the world.
There are other things I enjoy doing as well. For instance, I love going to concerts. Actually, it’s my favorite thing to do. I also enjoy road trips and seeing new places. I haven’t ever been on an airplane yet, but eventually I want to travel extensively.
I treasure Nature. I love to play in the rain, especially huge thunderstorms. I take pleasure in camping, swimming, fishing, and hiking. I’m scared of boats because a boating accident when I was about 10 years old.
When I’m hypomanic or manic I love to shop1, party hardcore2, drive fast, and have wild sex with men I don’t have any feeling other than lust for.
Cuddling is another favorite pastime of mine, but I only do it with someone I care about, unless I’m drunk and then I’m affectionate toward almost anyone.
Impulsivity
I just got home from Kansas City, Missouri. I got it in my head to go to KCMO, Saturday morning, so I packed some clothes, woke Tori up, and we bumped.
Dischorus 2006
Dudney and I went to Dischorus ‘06 in Oklahoma City yesterday. It was an all day music festival at the zoo amphitheater, which is the best venue I’ve ever been to. It was huge and there was stadium type seating and lots of shade (unlike most music festivals I’ve been to.)
There were lots of good bands there: Seether, Shinedown, Crossfade, Breaking Benjamin, Buck Cherry, Hailstorm, Rikets and 4-5 other bands
We saw a shitload of hotties there. (I’m bi, so there was double the eye candy for me.)
All the bands were good (except the first two.) Their music wasn’t bad per se, but the fuckers were talking smack about two of my favorite bands.
Jealousy is a bad thing, boys and girls.
