Yesterday was my first day back at . I had been out on medical leave since the end of October. I wasn’t really sure what to expect considering everything that has happened the past 13 months of my employment with the company. It’s been a rollercoaster ride, that’s for sure. For my sake, I am willing to wipe the slate clean. I hope they are willing to do the same. It takes too much energy to hold onto so much animosity. I’ve had my difficulties and differences of opinion with the company, but overall I have busted my ass to be an excellent employee for them.

My first day back went well. I ran into several old co-workers that I missed while I was out and I’m looking forward to starting over with them and the company. I had requested to be put back through training since I missed so many changes while I was out on leave the first time and this last time. Human resources and the Site Director of the call center approved and enrolled me into a new hire class. I don’t mind. It’s four weeks of classroom training and two weeks of OJT1.

The funny thing is that my trainer is someone that was on one of my teams. I was a stand-in Account Supervisor on that particular team and I helped train him. Hell, I even took several of his supervisor request calls. He always treated me with respect and before the shift bid2 he told me he learned more from me than anyone else. He was also one of the co-workers I confided in about the shady way the company treated me when I needed to go to the hospital. He told me then they were stupid because I was one of the best employees they had.

I really like him and so far I have been treated well. He has already began using my knowlege to help the new hires. His confidence in me is very uplifting and I feel proud once again to be a Directv employee. I hope it stays that way, it would make my life so much easier.

On this day..
