When Jennifer Met Raymond (part 6)
About a week and a half after Raymond and I officially became a couple we decided to take a roadtrip to Texas. It was labor day weekend so I had a couple days off work.
He picked me up from work after he dropped his car off at Felicia’s. She was going to use it while we were gone. He drove the whole way. We stopped and spent the night somewhere, I think it was Waco, but I don’t really remember.
The next morning we had to go to Killeen to pick up his Aunt Gabby because she was leaving her man. Once we got there I fidgeted for a bit in the car. I was nervous about meeting her, but she was really nice.
Later that night we went to his Uncle Joe’s club, Cody’s. It was huge. He introduced me to his uncle and step-aunt. We danced, watched a wet t-shirt contest, and couldn’t keep our hands off each other.
I thought it was cool that Texas bars are 18 and over. If you’re married to someone at least 21 years old then you can drink alcohol. I wasn’t in Oklahoma anymore, that was for sure. There were tattoo parlors all over the place. They sold liquor and lottery tickets in convenient stores. There was a drive-thru bar and liquor store. There were sex shops that actually sold x-rated porn… I was amazed to say the least. I enjoyed the freedom.
After we left the club we went back to Gabby’s to crash for the night.
Raymond and I had had sex at least twice a day since we hooked up. When we got in bed, he began the foreplay process, but I shot him down. I couldn’t have sex in his Aunt’s house with her asleep in the next bedroom. I tend to be loud in bed and I would have been totally embarrassed if she heard it. It was a good thing we had sex twice that day before we got to Killeen.
The next morning we got up and Gabby got ready. After we got the car loaded we were on our way back to Tulsa.
We passed a Jack in a box restaurant, which I had never eaten at because there aren’t any on Oklahoma. I wanted to try it so Raymond stopped. It wasn’t bad, but I thought it was overrated.
After we finished eating we began the trip home. We passed through Waco. Raymond knew I had never been to Dallas and that I wanted to go so he stopped when we got there.
We went to some science center at the state fairgrounds. Afterwards we went driving through the city. We found Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock Cafe downtown.
Downtown was busy. We walked around and saw all sorts of things to do. We seen several horse-drawn carriages. Ray and I took a rid on one. It was very romantic. We toured most of downtown in the carriage. We saw where JFK was shot and the building Oswald allegedly shot from.
Raymond and I liked Dallas very much. We decided that we would move there together someday.
