and I have been back together for awhile. Things have been going really well this time – better than ever actually, but that may be over soon. He wants to move back to Vegas. I don’t want him to go, but I can’t force him to stay. I wrote a list of reasons for him to stay. Hopefully, he will stay, but I have to tell him how I feel.

- More jobs
-Live with Aunt – opposed to living with your mom
-You already told everyone you were moving

REASONS TO STAY
- Your mom
- Your other here: cousins, brother, dad etc…
- Me
- Your friends
- Lower cost of living
- Easier to get GED
- Easier to get your license
- You already have a job here and it has advancement potential
- Our relationship is finally supported by our families
- We could move in together
- If things don’t out you could always move
- You could tell everyone you thought about it and it would be best for you to stay here awhile longer

Brian, I’ve tried to keep it from happening, but despite my best efforts I care about you a lot. I’ve been dreading August 1st since you first told me of your plans to move back to Vegas. I have tried my best to persuade you not to move yet, and I hope you seriously consider staying here. However, as much as I wish I could make you stay, I can’t. Even if it was within my power to force you to stay, I wouldn’t because I just want you to be happy, and if you have to move 1200 miles away to be happy, I’m going to respect your decision, even if it hurts me. I’ve avoided relationships and the chance to fall in for too long, because I was scared to of being hurt again. It’s a risk, but a risk well worth it. The hurt one experiences after the end of a relationship is a small price to pay for all the happiness it gave. It has taken me many years to learn that lesson.

All I ask of you if you continue your plans to move is: if things aren’t as great up there as you think they will be then you’ll remember you have a good honest woman here in Oklahoma that cares very deeply about you and that you won’t let pride keep you from coming home.
